Chromatronics has been involved in numerous types of Outside Broadcasts over the years.

The left hand picture above is of the Billy Graham Crusade at Randwick where Chromatronics supplied OB facilities for recording the crusade for replay on rural TV stations as well as for display on the 2 large screens on each side of the stage. The photo on the right shows the Forest High School Musical "Disco Inferno" which Chromatronics recorded using 5 cameras for the school.

Chromatronics has supplied OB facilities for stations for the Sydney to Hobart Race Start, Horse Racing, Soccer, AFL football, Rugby League, World Barefoot Water Ski Championships, Bridge to Bridge race with continuous helicopter coverage for the first time, corporate events, Community TV, School and Church events of many types.

Chromatronics has 2 outside broadcast units, one small 4 camera Mercedes 508D with Sony CCD cameras, Talia Vision Mixer, Excalibre DPE, Betacam recorders, 24 channel Audio, and full communications, and a large 8 camera 20 ton 10 metre unit with Ikegami Triax cameras, Ross vision mixer, Talia Router and talkback, Ampex ADO, 65 monitors, 32 X 24 Sound Workshop audio desk, SP Betacam recorders, Chyron CG, 3 working areas and roof platform for links.
